| Background | ||
| Sheela Peyrol is one of the most open and accepting of nature gods, and her priests are well-loved amongst the halfling people. Sheela helps insure good harvest and frequent rains for her people, though she is also known to send blights or droughts against those who offend her. Her druids are expected to aid their people in balancing the needs of nature with the needs of the village, and to ensure that all (including animals and plants) remain healthy and well-fed. Sheela's druids hold great celebrations at the start of planting (known as The Seeding or New Spring) and at harvest time (The Reaping, High Harvest, and other names). These festivals usually run a week or more, most commonly averaging 10 days. The actual length varies with climate, the needs of harvest, and the village participating. The festivities begin at sunset each night, and run late into the evening. |
