Open Thunderbird.
The first time you open the program, it will bring up the setup
box. Otherwise, click the Tools menu, then click Account Settings.
Click the Add Account button.
Select "Email account" as the type of account you would like to set up. Click Next.
For Your Name enter in any name you like to be called. Your
Email Address starts with your CMC username. For instance, if your
username is janed, then your CMC email address is janed@cmc.net. Click Next.
Select POP as the type of incoming server you are using. The
Incoming Server name is mailhost.cmc.net Your outgoing mail server is
mailhost.cmc.net Click Next.
Your User Name is just your CMC username (same as the first part of your email address). Click Next.
The Account Name identifies the account on your computer. It can
be set to whatever you wish, and a default value is provided. Click
Next.
Double check your settings. If anything is incorrect, you can
click Back to revise your settings. When everything is correct, click
Finish
You should now be able to send and receive your CMC mail!
